Our Mission: “Our mission is to build a stronger and more equitable society by meeting our Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, and Questioning (LGBTQ+), and allied members’ needs.”

 

Networking: Conferences, social events, and building a stronger community.

Education: LGBTQ+ education, public safety education, hate crimes/incidents, providing LGBTQ+ specific training, and anti-bullying education.

Employee Assistance: Legal assistance and employee relations related to LGBTQ+ issues.

Development: Career development, mentorship and developing subject matter experts.

Support: Family acceptance, illness, family counseling, and parental support.

 

OUR PURPOSE:

The Los Angeles County Officers Pride Society is an organization dedicated to promoting equity, diversity and representation of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, and Questioning people and allies in law enforcement and other first responders; to identify and provide supportive services and networking opportunities among all first responders and their families, and to increase the representation of LGBTQ+ people in leadership positions.

 

GENERAL INFORMATION:

General membership is open to Los Angeles Police Department and Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Personnel.

Affiliate membership is open to all Los Angeles County Area law enforcement personnel and other first responders.
